Our History
The Valley of Pittsfield has a rich history in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Originally established as a Lodge of Perfection, our Valley served the Scottish Rite Masonic community for many years before going dark around the year 2000.
After more than two decades of dormancy, the Valley of Pittsfield was rechartered in 2023, marking a new chapter in our organization's history. This recharter represents the dedication and commitment of local Scottish Rite Masons who recognized the need for a strong Scottish Rite presence in the Berkshire County region.
As a Lodge of Perfection, we work the degrees from the 4th through the 14th degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. We maintain close working relationships with our sister Valleys in Greenfield, Springfield, and throughout Massachusetts and neighboring states.
Our Mission
The Valley of Pittsfield is dedicated to:
- Advancing Masonic knowledge through the beautiful degrees and teachings of the Scottish Rite
- Building strong bonds of brotherhood among our members
- Serving our local communities through charitable works and civic engagement
- Preserving and promoting the timeless values of Freemasonry
- Supporting the growth and development of Scottish Rite Masonry in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction
Meeting Locations
Understanding the geographic diversity of Berkshire County, our Valley meets at different Blue Lodge locations each month, rotating between venues in North and South Berkshire County. This approach allows us to better serve our members throughout the region and strengthen our connections with the local Blue Lodges.
Our rotating meeting schedule ensures that all members have convenient access to our stated meetings and degree work, regardless of where they reside in our beautiful corner of Massachusetts.
